Keeping Your Eyes "Sports Safe"

Research has shown that racquet sports-- tennis, squash, raquetball, etc.-- are a leading cause of eye injury, sometimes permanent.  Below is a list of ways to reduce the chance of sports - related eye injuries.

Wear eye guards whenplaying raquet sports. 

These eye guards should be made with molded polycarbonate forms and lenses.

Never wear regular prescription eyeglasses instead of eye guards. 

Wear contact lenses only in combination with eye guards. 



We have all procastinatied at some point in our lives, but nowhere are the results of procrastinating more apparent than in the office.  A habitual procrastinator faces a crisis when he or she fears that the work will never be good enough, is afraid a deadline will be missed, can't decide what to do first, or is faced with an unexpected I need it right away project.

Here are a few suggestions to help you break the procrastination habit: 

Begin. Force yourself to begin the project.  It is the hardest part, but once you do, you are on your way. 

Do one thing at a time.  Don't start several projects at once  Do the hardest thing first. This makes the easier tasks a reward.

Put your number one priority front and center on your desk for the following morning. 

Decide when your mind is the clearest-- morning, afternoon, or evening.  Use your best time of the day for planning, when you are more inclined to have clear thoughts.
