The News
Today, we are able to get world, national, state, and local news faster and with better accuracy than ever before. Due to this fact, we are much more alert to and concerned about people in other parts of the world. Perhaps some of the problems are no worse today than they were years ago, but now we know of them much sooner. In most parts of the free world, we learn what is going on about us the very same day that it occurs. Much of this is due to an improved journalism. The bright trend in journalism is the rise in the number of high quality papers which do not stress the trite or shocking news items, but rather try to bring to higher level of reason when they try to obtain and report the facts. By making the use of good writing, these papers try to open our minds and get us to think and get involved. These are the candid papers which care about our futures, since they are also fully aware of the importance of truth. They stand for the true voice of news reporting. |
