How To Avoid Bing A Victim of Mail Fraud

  1. Be skeptical of free-prize offers.
  2. Check out a company by calling the Better Business Bureau, the state attorney general, and the Postal Inspection Service to see if the firm is under investigation.
  3. Call the direct-mail company that sent the letter and ask in detail what must be done to win prizes.
  4. When playing for a mail order item, use a charge card instead of a check. A credit card company will help you if there is fraud.

Packing Tips

  1. Before you begin to pack, write out a list of everything you think you will need.

  3. If possible, take fabrics that dont wrinkle.  Place clothes flat across the suitcase. Roll socks, underwear, and sweaters.
  4. The suitcase should be full, but not overfilled, to avoid wrinkles.
  5. Place anything that can spill, spray or leak into your carry-on laggage.
  6. Pack heavey items, such as shoes or books, othe bottom of the luggage or near the hingers. When the suitcase is standing upright, these items won't crush or wrinkle anything.
