Getting Away
When you think of getting away for a few days, what kind of place does this bring to your mind? Would your choices be some quiet place away from other people and the sound of the busy telephone?  Perhaps you would like being up in the beautiful high country of the mountains with all the sights and sounds of nature.  Or would you rather travel to a private beach and commune with only the sea and sky?  In such a place, you could rest and leave the troubles in your daily life behind you.
But perhaps your idea of a trip is going to a large city.  Here you would have many fine things to do such as shopping, going to a cultural event, to dinner, or to a ball game.  Or you might be one who would enjoy taking in many sights during your free time and would like to visit as amny cities as you can.  Even though the city is more fastpaced than the country, it will extend to each of us in the opportunityto play and to refresh ourselves from the daily pressure.

The News
Today, we are able to get world, state, national, state, and local news faster and with better accuracy than before.  Doe to this fact, we are much more alert and concerned about people ni other parts of the world.  Perhaps some of the problems are no worse today than they were years ago, but now we know of them much sooner.  In most parts of the free world, we learn what is going on about us the very same day that it occurs.  Much of this is due to an improved journalism.
The bright tred in journalism is  the risein the number of high quality papers with do not stress the trite or shocking news items, but rather try to bring people to a higher level of reason when they try to obtain and report facts.  By making use of good writing, these papers try to open our minds and to get us to think and get involved.  These are the candid papers which care about our future, since they are also fully aware of the importance of truth.  They stand for the true voive of news reporting
