Burglars who stole an estimated $6-million worth of paintings from an art museum in Chicago, Illinois, were not professional art thieves and do not know the value of the reare paintings they stole. In fact, they left behind some of the most valuable paintings and art works in the museum. There were two paintings by Miran that they did not steal; and yet they stole some paintings of Bob Smith, who is virtually unknown and not very respected in the art world.

The heist was one of the largest art thefts int he city of Chicago and the nation.
